A built-in home office, made for the space you actually have, from my Talgarth workshop.

Desk, shelving and storage as one built-in piece: in the alcove, under the stairs, or sharing a wall with the wardrobes in the spare room.

Built-in bookcases over cupboards with an oak top, built as one piece along a beamed wall

Fitted, built-in, made to measure, bespoke: the words won’t tell you much.

Every firm in this trade uses all four interchangeably. What matters is how it’s made.

Gaps left, or boxed in.
Space and storage maximised.
How it’s soldCost, £ to £££

Off-the-shelf systems

You build it. Space isn’t maximised, and it won’t last.

Made-to-order systems

A better end product, but the room has to suit the parts.

National fitted-furniture brands

Big overheads, a big price passed on to you, and not fully custom.

my work

Bespoke, built from scratch

I measure, draw, build and fit it.

The quote is the quote. No pressure tactics, no ‘offer ends’ rubbish.

Your space and storage needs fully realised, in your chosen style.

Where it goes

One piece, built where the work happens.

01

In the alcove

A desk and shelving using the full recess, scribed to walls that were never square.

02

Under the stairs

A tucked-away desk in the triangle the house wasn't using.

03

The wardrobe-and-desk wall

Wardrobes and a desk sharing one wall in the spare room, designed together so both fit properly.

04

Storage that closes

Shelves and cupboards around the desk, so the work can be shut away at the end of the day.

Questions, answered straight

What does a built-in home office cost?

Priced at the design visit, and you'll have the exact quote before anything is cut.

What's included in the price?

Design, making and fitting, by me, start to finish. Pieces come primed and ready to paint, or fully painted. That's a spray finish, done in my own paint shed. Say which at the design visit and it's in the quote.

Can I paint it myself?

Yes. Most people take it primed and ready to paint. You can have it completely unfinished, but I'd talk you out of it: priming means sanding between coats, and the dust goes everywhere. It's why I built an insulated paint shed at the workshop.

How does it start?

With a free design visit. You talk, I measure, nothing is sold. Then you get the exact quote before anything is cut.

How quickly do you reply?

I typically reply within 12 hours. Ring or text on 07984 619963. Phone is quickest.
