Fitted, built-in, made to measure, bespoke: the words won’t tell you much.
Every firm in this trade uses all four interchangeably. What matters is how it’s made.
Off-the-shelf systems
You build it. Space isn’t maximised, and it won’t last.
Made-to-order systems
A better end product, but the room has to suit the parts.
National fitted-furniture brands
Big overheads, a big price passed on to you, and not fully custom.
Bespoke, built from scratch
I measure, draw, build and fit it.
The quote is the quote. No pressure tactics, no ‘offer ends’ rubbish.
Your space and storage needs fully realised, in your chosen style.
Walls lean. Ceilings slope. It still fits.
01
Scribe moulding
Cut to trace the wall as it actually runs. No filler panels, no gap along the edge.
02
Plumb internal framing
The frame stands square on its own. Your wall can lean all it likes; the doors still hang true.
03
Levelled base platform
Counters floor sag. The drawers still run straight in ten years.
04
No modular limits
Built around the purlin, the bulkhead or the meter box, whichever is in the way.

Questions, answered straight
What does a fitted wardrobe cost?
Most fitted wardrobes come out between £1,600 and £3,200. That's a full bedroom wall with hanging space, drawers and shelves, fitted to the plaster. Not the cheapest, nowhere near the dearest, and you'll know the price before you commit.
What's included in the price?
Design, making and fitting, by me, start to finish. Pieces come primed and ready to paint, or fully painted. That's a spray finish, done in my own paint shed. Say which at the design visit and it's in the quote.
Can I paint it myself?
Yes. Most people take it primed and ready to paint. You can have it completely unfinished, but I'd talk you out of it: priming means sanding between coats, and the dust goes everywhere. It's why I built an insulated paint shed at the workshop.
How does it start?
With a free design visit. You talk, I measure, nothing is sold. Then you get the exact quote before anything is cut.
How quickly do you reply?
I typically reply within 12 hours. Ring or text on 07984 619963. Phone is quickest.
